Technical Assistance
MAV can assist you in selecting and sizing the proper valve and actuator for your application.

Upgrade Your Worn Out Actuator

MAV can replace obsolete and worn out valve and gate actuators with modern and reliable actuation equipment. Our turnkey services include removal of the old actuator and installation of the new actuator. We upgrade all types of pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, and geared actuators.

Training

MAV provides training on valve and actuator applications, repair, maintenance, and field adjustment procedures.  We provide training at your location or at scheduled training classes at our office.  Our Tech Box is a mobile valve laboratory which contains various types of control valves and a working water system for a one-of-a-kind hands on training experience.

Repairs

MAV can provide both on site and factory repair services for all types of valves, gates, and actuators. We provide inspection services and recommendations for repair options. Our manufacturers offer factory valve refurbishment services that come with a new valve warranty.

Troubleshooting/Inspection

MAV can come to your plant and troubleshoot your valve, actuator, and control problems.  We have fully trained servicemen with over 30 years of combined experience.

Start-Up and Commissioning

MAV can start-up and commission all types of actuators (electric, pneumatic, globe style) as well as program/calibrate positioners, limit switches, and torque switches.

Water Quality

MAV represents Tideflex Mixing Systems (TMS) which use proven and passive engineered designs to improve storage tank water quality.  The increase in distribution system regulations, such as the Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproduct Rule (Stage2 DBP rule), and the increased use of chloramination have put more of an emphasis on the water quality impact of distribution systems, including storage tanks.  The TMS is an extensively modeled and validated multi-port mixing system that has proven to eliminate water quality problems such as loss of residual, bacteria regrowth, nitrification, DBP spikes, taste and odor problems, increased HPC, and pH and DO variation.

The TMS is easily installed in new tanks and retrofit to existing tanks. TMS’s have even been installed in the wet while the tank is still in service. All TMS configurations have been CFD and/or scale modeled and field validated.
